Five Finds for a Fall-Inspired Mahj Table
It’s September, and fall is (almost) in the air. Whether sweater weather has arrived or you’re still firmly in sandal season, we found a few things to get your mahj table in the fall spirit. Think earthy tiles, dark walnut, and a little golden glow.
Terra Earth Tone Tile Set
These tiles were the starting point for our fall table. The terracotta, deep teal, and soft green designs pair beautifully with tortoiseshell backs, and we especially love the floral tiles and peacock feather one bam. The set includes 160 engraved, four-layer tiles, two coordinating dice, and a vegan leather carrying bag.
Mandala Mahjong Mat
This mat picks up the tiles’ colors with a deep teal background and a detailed pattern in warm rust, orange, and gold. It measures 31.5 inches square, with cushioning to soften tile noise and a rubber backing to help keep it in place. It’s a bold pattern, but the shared colors make the pairing work.
Walnut Mahjong Racks
With plenty of color and pattern already on the table, these dark walnut racks keep things simple. The set includes four 17.6-inch racks with built-in pushers and non-slip feet. Pretty and practical, and easy to use with other tiles and mats throughout the year.
Natural Gemstone Dice
Do you need another pair of dice? Maybe not, but these golden-brown ones caught our eye. The polished stone and metallic gold dots look right at home beside the walnut racks and tortoiseshell tiles. If golden brown isn’t your vibe, check out the other colors available from the same brand.
Mini Cordless Table Lamp
This little green lamp finishes the table with a ribbed glass shade and a soft, warm glow. It’s just over six inches tall and rechargeable, so there’s no cord to work around while you play. It’s accent lighting rather than a substitute for your regular game-night lighting, but it certainly sets the mood.
